Here are a couple of poor pictures of my first thimble. It looks better in person too, because you can't see through the stitching into the color behind as much. I need to work at packing the stitching closer together. Other than that, I'm very pleased with it.
The stitching around the edge is quite even (if I do say so myself) except I just discovered I was making the stitch backwards. But I'm still looking forward to making another.
Thank you again, Chloe Patricia!

Nice job Jane!! I have promised myself to have another go at thimbles once I get the HHG challenge completed.
Hello Jane, thank you for participating in my Flickr pool. Don't worry about doing the stitches backward. If you like it that way, then there is no reason you can't do it that way. I am going to host another Flickr pool next month and I look forward your next one then. Chloe Patricia
Looks like a fun project. I can't get an idea of the size of them. My idea of a thimble is on the end of the finger but this looks like a ring. Suggest you take a picture of it on your hand.
Yea Jane! It is hard to take pics of these since they are so small. I use the digital macro setting on my camera.
Your edges look very nice to me too. As far as taking the stitch backwards... it is done in one direction in the hardcover thimble book and in the opposite direction in the paperback temari and thimble book. So you are right either way! :-)
All I can say is
WOW! Nice work.
