Christmas, Day 12

The wise men were overjoyed when they saw the star over the place where the baby lay, and they bowed down and worshiped him. 

Only one more day in this series, and then I will have to start thinking of regular blog posts again. I do have a little bit of a backlog from over Christmas.  Thank you all for reading, and I hope everyone enjoyed this as much as I did!

Christmas, Day 11

The tradition is that there were three Magi, and camels to go with (probably because there are three gifts listed).



I really like how the tassels on his bridle turned out. The saddle cloth is very sparkly too.

Christmas, Day 10

Magi from the east came to Jerusalem, saying "Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews?"



Sorry for the poor picture. It is an enlargement of part of a larger picture, and it lost definition. It is also from The Nativity by MarBek. You can see the sparkles, though.

Christmas, Day 9

The Angels said:

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
    and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”




After the angels went back to heaven, the shepherds went to find the baby Jesus, and found him as the angels had described, wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.
