Progress, but no pictures

I did get quite a bit done yesterday. I cleaned out the gutters before it got too hot. They hadn't been done in a while, so there were leaves from last autumn and maple helicopters from this spring. There was also somewhat of a swamp... Not Good! I am glad to have that job done.

I worked on Holland Springtime Mandala for quite a while. The second tulip meadow is done except for a couple of stray stitches and the grass at the bottom (plus the sky, but that is just a couple of minutes). I think I will go back toward the top and do the corner ornaments that fit up there (and I may go ahead and add the tulip meadow on top of the "northmost" scene as well). I really am enjoying this project.

I pulled out my sewing machine to stitch up a project for my HEG guild, and found the fabric I thought I had tossed, carefully stashed under the sewing machine cover. So I stitched that up as well. Pictures will come from one of these projects, as soon as there is something to see, but the other project will be under wraps until September.

I pulled out my supply of felt to start making a doll from a Mimi Kirchner pattern, and discovered that I have NO flesh colored felt. Now I have a goal for the day, and a reason to go to JoAnn Fabrics! I tell you, life is good! Hopefully this new doll will be friends with Moonsilk Stitches' Dolly, who went on several adventures last year. (Actually, it already two years ago!)

I also have to do some grocery shopping, so I will be braving the weather in a little while. Yesterday the temps were in the high 90s, and I hibernated in the air, but today they are struggling to reach 70... much better, in my opinion, if I don't melt in the rain.

Talk to you later!
